Barbourville City Police Welcome Officer Chase Henson to Their Staff.

The Barbourville Police Department has a new face patrolling the streets as of Jan. 2, 2018. Dale Chase Henson took the oath of office at City Hall and began his career in law enforcement in early January. Henson is a familiar face around the law enforcement community as he was previously employed by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for Courthouse Security and more recently as a 911 Dispatcher. Chase is a Knox Central High School graduate where he excelled on the football field and is a member of the Bailey Switch Volunteer Fire Department.

Henson said, “Since graduating high school, I have worked toward becoming a law enforcement officer and look forward to making this profession a lifetime career”.

“I will do my best to make Barbourville a safer place and will assist the community in any way necessary. The growing drug problem in our area is one aspect that I know will be a primary focus”, said Henson.

Family Background

Chase is the son of Dewayne and Sabrina Henson of Walker Park Road in Knox County. He is the older brother to Chad Dewayne Henson, age 20 that attends and plays football for Union College . Chase is the grandson of maternal grandparents Dale and Judy Owens also of Walker Park Road in Knox County. He is also the grandson to paternal grandfather Charles Henson of Bimble and his wife Carolyn Henson. He is the grandson of his late paternal grandmother Pauline Henson.
