Mrs. Angela Denise Taylor, 51, of Barbourville, passed away Sunday evening, February 15, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was the daughter of David Bays and the late Barbara McNamara Bays born on November 21, 1974 in Michigan.
Angie was a devoted homemaker and a member of the River Baptist Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts and shopping online. Above all else, Angie treasured her family. Spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and her beloved “granddog”, brought her the greatest joy.
On July 20, 1996, she united in marriage with Michael Gregory Taylor.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by father-in-law, Mike Taylor, grandmother, Hester McNamara and an infant son, Nathan.
Survivors include her loving husband, Greg Taylor of Barbourville; her father, David Bays of Bull Run; children, Bree Taylor and Lonnie Teague of Woollum and Jathan Taylor and wife, Camille, of Barbourville; grandchildren, Grayson and McKinlea Teague and Miles Taylor, who is expected to arrive soon; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; alongside countless friends and extended family who were blessed to know her.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, February 22 at 2 P.M. with Rev. John Loudin officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Taylor Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Jathan Taylor, Lonnie Teague, Brian Taylor, Shannon Taylor, Dustin Woolum and Shawn Hayes.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that contributions may go to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
