Annetta Theresa Coddington Garrison, age 75 of Barbourville was born in Dearborn, MI on October 30, 1949 to the late Chester and Mary Miracle Coddington and departed this life on April 22, 2025 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed walking, riding Bicycles, Crocheting, riding the Bus, going to Church, and time with family and friends, especially the grandchildren.
In addition to her parents: Chester and Mary Coddington; 2 brothers: James Coddington and Mike Coddington; a sister: Jane McClure; and grandmother: Mable Miracle preceded her in death.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband of over 56 years: Vernon Garrison of Barbourville; 4 sons: Vernon Garrison and wife Lula of Barbourville, Johnny Garrison and wife Diane of Madison Heights, MI, Tracy Garrison and wife Shannon of Woolum, KY, and Billy Garrison and wife Lisa of Warren, MI; a stepdaughter: Julie Miles of Tennessee Ridge, TN; 3 brothers: Jessie Coddington and wife Marilyn, and Mitchell Coddington all of MI, and Tom Coddington and wife Linda of Orlando, FL; 2 sisters: Jackie Costello and husband Butch, and Donna Myatt all of MI; 8 grandchildren: Tara Garrison and friend Matty Webb, Laura Goodin and husband Wendell, Cameron Garrison and friend Jason Fields, Briana Garrison and friend Paul Lavely, Madison Lambert and husband Kevin, Kaylee Garrison, Kira McClure, and Vickie Christianson and husband Jeff; 11 great grandchildren: Jaxon Lambert, Calayah Lambert, Mavis Ullman, Marshall Lavely, Lydia Garrison, Liam McClure, Lucas Christianson, Mason Christianson, Wendell Goodin, Isabella Goodin, and Anna Beth Goodin who was also a special friend. And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Annetta Theresa Garrison will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Lewis and Rev. Vernon Garrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Garrison Pittman Cemetery with Johnny Garrison, Tracy Garrison, Billy Garrison, Cameron Garrison, Wendell Goodin, Kenny Frederick, Gary Smith, and Kevin Lambert serving as Pallbearers.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Thursday Evening from 6 to 9 PM, and on Friday from 10 AM to the funeral hour at 2.
