Obituary for Billy Darrell Bull (1963-2026)

Mr. Billy Darrell Bull, 63, of Barbourville, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026 at his home.  He was born May 21, 1963 in Pineville, the son of Billy Bull and Myrtle Mae Stamper Bull.

Billy was a truck driver, believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 187 F & AM, where he formed lasting friendships and contributed to his community.  He found his greatest joy outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing or simply spending time in nature and took great pride in caring for his yard.  Billy also enjoyed woodworking and leaving behind pieces that will be cherished.  Billy had a deep love for his dogs, Dakota, Flopsie, Maddie and Max, who were constant companions and brought him endless joy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett and May Stamper and Daniel and Hester Bull.

Survivors include his loving parents, Myrtle Mae Bull of Barbourville and Billy Bull of Barbourville; a sister, Sherry “Susie” Bull of Barbourville; cousins, Teresa Goley and Pam Williams; a special brother, Ronald Lake; among countless friends and extended family who lovingly remember him.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, March 20 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Jim Bargo and Rev. Jimmy Miller officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Wilson Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Ronald Lake, Scott Mahan, Allen Stamper, Rodney Stamper, Gary Doolin and Jason Powers.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 8 P.M. with a Masonic service beginning at 7:45 P.M.  Friends may also visit Friday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
