Brian (Opie) Walter Thomas age 45 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Corbin hospital.
Brian was born March 1, 1980, in Barbourville, Kentucky to the late L.D. Thomas and Kathleen Cox Thomas. He was of the Baptist faith.
Along with his parents; L.D and Kathleen Cox Thomas, Brian was also preceded in death by one son; Conner Dalton Issac Thomas.
Brian leaves behind his Fiancé; Vanessa Smith, three children; Marissa Thomas, Sophia Thomas and Adrian Thomas, one grandchild; Asaiah Kane Gallman, four brothers; Rick Thomas (Edith), Timothy Thomas (Leslie), Mark Thomas (Sarah), and Ryan Thomas (Tarah), three sisters; Sheila Fetters (Mike), Beverly Hackler (Frankie), and Patricia Sparks (Steve), along with other family and friends to miss him and to mourn his passing.
Funeral service for Brian (Opie) Walter Thomas will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of The Barbourville Funeral Home. Family and friends will be officiating. Interment will be in the Hutchinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at The Barbourville Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Brian’s memory at The Barbourville Funeral Home.
