Chester “Chet” Jimmy Peavley, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2025. Born on March 14th, 1936, Chet lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew him.
Chet grew up in Barbourville, Ky and married his sweetheart Bonnie Lou Frederick. Chet had many talents and used most of those as a Process Engineer for A Tool and Die Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was known for his love of fishing, if there was a water hole, lake, pond etc and he had a pole, he would be fishing!
He will be deeply missed by his immediate family. Chet is survived by his Daughter, Kimberly Lynn (Peavley) Gabbard, Son-in-Law, Kenneth Gabbard and Granddaughter Megan Clark, step grandchildren, Kenny Gabbard, Kourtney Gabbard, Nathan Gabbard and 2 step great grandchildren, Grayson and Josie. He leaves behind his sisters Maxine, Barb, Marjorie, Bonnie and the family dog, Cooper.
Chet found joy in traveling to Florida and spending time with family. His presence was a comforting constant, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private memorial service will be held graveside on Tuesday June 10, 2025 at 9:00am.
