Mr. Daniel Barrett Carnes, 31, of Corbin, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 4, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was born February 23, 1994 in Corbin, the son of the late Terry Wayne and Sheila Mosley Carnes.
Daniel was a devoted caregiver and enjoyed spending time playing video games and caring for his cats.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Doris Jean Carnes and Silas and Dora Maiden.
Survivors include his loving brothers, Jonathan Carnes of Richmond, Christopher Carnes of Corbin and Jeffery Carnes and wife, Ashley, of London; a beloved aunt, Katrina Carnes of Mills; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, January 16 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Alonzo Messer officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mills Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
