Mr. David Lynn Engle age 56 of Cannon, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at his home. He was the husband of Melissa (Collins) Engle and the son of Dewey Ray Engle and Joyce Elaine (Hobbs) Engle. David enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Joyce Engle and one sister, Joanne Gregory.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife Melissa Engle, two children, Dillion Branson and wife Meaghan and Victoria Witt all of Cannon, and Jason Mills who he loved like a son, one sister, Sheila Engle and two brothers, Randy Engle and Ronald Engle all of Cannon, an honorary brother, Dale Marion, grandchildren, Grayson Branson and Elijah Branson and two who he loved as his grandchildren, Kenly and Cameron Mills, his mother and father in law, David and Carol Collins of Hinkle, nieces and nephews, Jacob Collin, Seth Tuttle, Jason Engle, Jeremy Gregory, Aiden Marion, Brooklyn Collins, Kiara Tuttle, Alexandria Engle and Christen Whittaker, great-nieces and nephews, Conner Engle, Brayden Whittaker and Cadence Engle, a brother-in-law, William Matthew Collins. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Engle will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 12:00 noon with Rev. David Mounce and Rev. Mickie Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Dale Marion, Daniel Smith, Jacob Broughton, Kevin Mills, Brian Whittaker, Jonathan Baker, James Paul Jones, Jason Engle and Conner Engle. Honorary Pallbearers Dillon Branson, Jason Mills. He will be laid to rest in the Engle Family Cemetery at Cannon. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday prior to the service at 12:00 noon.
