Dylan Michael Wilson, age 29, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on February 28, 2026, surrounded by family who adored him.
Dylan was born on September 10, 1996. Though his time on this earth was far too short, the impact he had will live on. Dylan’s story touched countless lives. He genuinely was a light in a world that often feels heavy, and the privilege of loving him reminded those around him that kindness is what truly matters. Through his strength and resilience, he taught patience, compassion, and what it means to love unconditionally and without limits. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Crystal and Landen Smith; father and stepmother, Brett and Misty Wilson; brother, Cameron Smith; step-siblings, Cody Gregory, Ethan Gregory, and Taylor Swafford; grandmothers, Sharon Blackwood and Betty Wilson; uncles, Kevin Blackwood and Donnie Smith (Angie); aunts, Renae Wilson and Shawna Wilson; special cousins Alex Blackwood (Tiffanie) and Jessica Blackwood (Zach) and their children Claire, Kolby, Cora, Parker, Emma, and Noah; and his numerous other cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lauren Kay; grandparents, Carroll Blackwood, Kenneth Wilson, Arvil and Nettie Smith; and great-grandmother, Mary McKnight.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Hart Funeral Home in Corbin, Kentucky. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Glen Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Blackwood Family Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be Cameron Smith, Alex Blackwood, Joey Wilson, Cody Gregory, Jeff Smith, and Zach Smith.
