Earl Stephen Smith, age 56 of Flat Lick, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Earl was born on July 16, 1969, in Corbin, Kentucky to the late Earl and June Mills Smith.
Along with his parents, Earl and June, Earl was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bailee Powell, one brother, Tony Smith and a former sister-in-law, Whitney Mills.
Earl leaves behind three children; Morgan Smith, Megan Smith and Tyler Smith, one grandson; Rylan Powell, one brother; Jody Smith (Rachel), loving Aunts and Uncles, two nieces; Sarah Smith and Bella Smith; two nephews; Jonah Smith and Jacob Smith; A very close friend and her family Tammy Wagers, and his former in-laws James and Geneva Helton and their children.
Funeral services for Earl Stephen Smith will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of The Barbourville Funeral Home. Brother Ken Merida and Brother Herman Mills will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of The Barbourville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
