Eddie Wheat, age 65 of Cannon was born in Scalf, KY on April 4, 1960 to the late Dan and Eva Bingham Wheat and departed this life on July 2, 2025 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. He was a member of Lovell Church and enjoyed watching TV, hiking, going for walks, being outside, and time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents: Dan and Eva Wheat; 2 brothers: Deanie Wheat and Leonard Wheat; and a sister: Minnie Smith preceded him in death.
Eddie is survived by his loving siblings: Larry Wheat and wife Nellie, and Rev. Orangie Wheat and wife Donna, Martha Bunch, and Eunice Bargo; special care givers: James Wheat and Lucinda Lewis; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Eddie Wheat will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Justin Lewis and Rev. Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery with nephews serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 3.
