Mrs. Edna A. Smith, 87, of Barbourville, passed away Tuesday evening, September 23, 2025 at her home. She was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Linville Goodin born November 14, 1937 at Fourmile.
Edna was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and a retired book keeper for Hager, Davis and McGee Veterinarian Services in Lexington. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flowers, sewing and bird watching.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Smith, siblings, James Goodin, Jackie Neal, Buddy Goodin and Mary Ledford and granddaughter, Michelle Beckett.
Survivors include her loving sons, John C. Smith and Jason B. Smith, both of Barbourville; cherished grandchildren, Crystal Cobb and Jonathan Witt; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sarah, Ollie, Kylie, Brailey, Brogan, Grant, Kelcie, Hannah and Noah; great-great-grandson, Walker; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday September 28 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Ken Merida officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Goodin Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be her family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Sunday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
