Geraldine Roberts Childers, age 79, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Tuesday January 4, 2022, at Baptist Health in Corbin.
She was born in Barbourville, KY, and was a retired florist.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Chiders; daughter, Angelene Childers; parents, Andy and Maggie Smith Roberts; step son, Timmy Childers; and by her siblings, James Roberts, Anna Mae Lewis, Chester Roberts, Lester Roberts, Shirl Roberts, Arthur Roberts, Kenneth Roberts, Glend Roberts, Avenille Hinton, and Codell Roberts.
She is survived by her son, William Kennedy; grandchildren, Jonathan Kennedy, Richard Kennedy, Marissa Moses (Corey), Miranda McIntee (Ryan), Jimmy Roberts, and Andrew Childers (Alexis); ten great grandchildren; siblings, Johnny Roberts, Harold Roberts (Hildred), Bettie Davis, Carolyn Roberts, Linda Thorpe (Bob), David Roberts, Peggy Engle (Troy), and Susie Cornett; and by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends, including special friend Carrie Baker.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Sunday January 9, 2022 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday January 10, 2022.
Burial will follow in the Gray Cemetery.
