Jake Brown, age 83 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Barbourville ARH.
Jake was born on March 5, 1942, in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Jake Sr. and Sochia Ferrell Brown.
Jake was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Hoffner Lodge #32 in Ohio, and later a member of the Paynes Creek Lodge #187 in Paynes Creek, Kentucky.
Along with his parents Jake is also preceded in death by three brothers; Charles, Floyd and George Brown, three sisters; Rachel Ferrell, Frances King, and Bessie Decker.
Survivors include the mother of his children; Muriel Brown, two daughters; Diana Clifton (Tim), Rhonda Brown, and one son; Shannon Ellison, four grandchildren; Chelsea Webb, Ryan Clifton, Lilly Webb and Devon Ellison, six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews along with many other family and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Jake Brown will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of Barbourville Funeral Home. Pastor Gary King will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Barbourville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M until the time of services at 2:00 P.M at the funeral Home.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
