Obituary for Janet Sue Miracle (1939-2025)

Mrs. Janet Sue Miracle, 86, of Barbourville, passed away Friday afternoon, December 19, 2025 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Tommy and Mary Belle Wyatt Warren born March 13, 1939 in Barbourville.

She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Barbourville and a devoted homemaker. Janet had a deep passion for the outdoors, enjoying camping trips in the Smoky Mountains, Levi Jackson State Park and Myrtle Beach. Her love of nature was matched only by her skill and enthusiasm for cooking, often preparing meals for family and friends. Janet’s gentle spirit, strong faith and the joy she found in life will be remembered by all who knew her.

On February 20, 1960, she united in marriage with Charles A. Miracle and to this union a son was born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and brother, Rev. Tommy Gerald Warren.

Survivors include her loving niece, Tonyia Warren of Corbin; special neighbors, Johnny and Marquita Broughton and Charlotte Click and son, Tommy Click; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, December 26 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dewayne Smith and Rev. James Vandy officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Serving as casket bearers will be her family and friends. Honorary bearers will be Anna Brewer, Misty Mills and Ricky and Sharon Eaton.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
