Mr. Jeremy Joseph Coffie, 43, of Kettle Island, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 27, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was the son of Lacinda Kay Frye Bailey and the late William Harley Coffie born on January 19, 1980 in Pontiac, MI.
Jeremy was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to teach anyone and everybody about the outdoors, especially his boys. Material things meant very little to him. What mattered most to him was his family, his love for the outdoors and his dog, Luna. Jeremy was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. His favorite past time was riding his four-wheeler through the woods. Those who knew him will know no amount of words will ever do the mountain man justice. Jeremy was a man of few words, but the words he did say, he meant.
Survivors include his loving mother, Lacinda Kay Bailey; children, Gustavo, Martin, Abbie and Vera; sisters, Jennifer Coffie and Kayla Brock; several aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews, Liberty, Charlotte, Brantley, Hunter, Gunnar, Braeden, Liam, Maxwell and Jonah; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, December 31 at 8 P.M. with Rev. Paul Long officiating.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday after 6 P.M. until the funeral hour.
If you wish to help with funeral expenses, contributions may go to the funeral home to assist his family.
