Jerry Peters, age 69 of Barbourville was born in Knox County, KY on August 16, 1950 to the late Shelby and Myrtle Smith Peters and departed this life on Monday, April 13, 2020 in the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed feeding the Birds, working on cars, and time with family and friends, especially the grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, 2 brothers: Roy Peters and Burt Peters; and 2 sisters: Helen Rice and Roberta Fredrick preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving daughter: Pamela Peters and fiancé Michael Crump of Barbourville; his fiancé: Diane Witt of Barbourville; 2 brothers: Johnny Peters and wife Louise of Cannon, and Ed Peters and fiancé Annette Saylor of Barbourville; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Private Funeral Services for Mr. Jerry Peters will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 17, 2020 with Rev. Glen Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Hutchens Cemetery. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Due to the regulations on the COVID-19 Virus friends will be allowed to come by the Barbourville Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. and sign the Guest Register and get a Memorial Folder under our Front Porch while practicing Social Distancing as Mandated by Governor Andy Beshear.
