John Michael Myrick, age 27 of Gray was born in Corbin, KY on July 31, 1998 to Michael Gail Myrick and Sophia Marie Stewart Myrick, and departed this life on May 4, 2025 in Corbin, KY. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed fishing, helping people, and time with family and friends, especially his fiancé and daughter.
A brother: Brian Michael Myrick; a nephew: Weston Paul; grandparents: Roxie Smith and Ancil Myrick; and great grandparents: Paul and Maggie McDonald preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving parents: Michael Gail and Sophia Marie Myrick of Gray; grandparents: George and Shirley Steward of Gray; fiancé: Whitney Knichole Price of Gray; a daughter: Presley Jayce Myrick of Gray; a brother: Christian Paul Myrick of Artemus; 3 sisters: Megan Marie Hampton and husband Logan of Artemus, Latashia Beth Myrick and Zachary Morgan, and Amber Nicole Doss all of Barbourville; 2 nephews: Benson Curtis Myrick and Kaden Phillips; 3 nieces: Peyton Townsley, Lynlee Gray, and Kenley Doss; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. John Michael Myrick will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Steven Brown, Rev. Scott Phipps, and Rev. Mikey Bruner officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Dizney Cemetery with Chris Milwee, Brent Hensley, Zachary Morgan, Brandon Stewart, Jacob Stewart, Logan Hampton, John Stewart, and Jaden Stewart serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to the funeral hour at 2.
