Johnny Simpson Jr. age 83 of Flat Lick, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his home.
Johnny was born on May 22, 1942, in Fields, Kentucky to the late Johnny Simpson Jr. and Dicie Hopkins Simpson.
Johnny was an Army Veteran (Vietnam), he enjoyed fishing, working on cars, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his parents, Johnny is also preceded in death by his wife; Juanita Smith Simpson.
Johnny is survived by two sons; Phillip Wayne Simpson and William “Ebbe” Simpon, three grandchildren and one sister; Wanda Phyllis Trowbridge, along with other family and friends to miss him and to mourn his passing.
There will be a memorial service for Johnny Simpson held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of Barbourville Funeral Home. Brother Reed Murphy will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M until the time of service at 12 at the funeral home.
