Kathleen (Kathy) Broughton age 72 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Baptist Health Corbin, in Corbin, Kentucky.
Kathy was born on January 23, 1954, in Barbourville, Kentucky to the late Arnold John (Bear) and Mable Partin Broughton. She was of the Baptist faith.
Along with his parents, Kathy was also preceded in death by two brothers; Wayne Broughton and Russell Broughton, and five sisters; Thelma Martin, Goldie Jackson, Connie Harris, Geraldine Burns and JoAnn Broughton.
Kathy leaves behind, six brothers; Danny (Rosemary), Teddy (Sherry), Johnny (Sudie), Eddie Dean (Eraslene), Eddie Arnold (Glenna) and Kenneth (Vernie) Broughton, a host of nieces and nephews, a caretaker Kimberly Bullis, and many other relatives and friends to miss her and to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Kathleen (Kathy) Broughton will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1:00 P.M at The Barbourville Funeral Home. Brother Jeff Branum and Brother Carles Burns will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Hammons Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 6:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M at The Barbourville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
