Lana Maire Garland Smith age 76 of Gray, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Lana was born on February 19, 1950, in Hydric, Kentucky to the late Charles W. and Minnie Christine Chumley Garland. She was of the Baptist faith.
Lana was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith Jr., one child, Gerald Marvin Kidd, two granddaughters, Paiten Cox and Briel Cox and one sister: Linda Mills.
Survivors include nine children: Brandon David Cox (Brooke), Garfield Theodore Cox (Jovoh), Wesley Charles Garland, Teresa (Hensley), Tommy Smith, Frank Smith, Timmy Smith, Trenton Herrell. Eight grandchildren; Austin Kidd, Garfield Cox, Sara Cox, Willow Cox, Charlie Cox, Heavenly Cox, Erica Siler, and Alicia Harris (John), two brothers; Kenneth Garland and Marvin Garland (Audrey) along with other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Lana Maire Smith will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 2:00 P.M at the New Vision Church. Brother Kenny Johnson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M until the time of services at 2:00 P.M
Pallbearers will be Lana’s children and grandchildren.
