Mrs. Lois Ann Chesnut Poff, 91, of Madisonville, TN, formerly of Farmington Hills, MI, the widow of Birchel Poff Sr., passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Fort Loudoun Hospital in Lenoir City, TN. She was the daughter of the late Carson and Angeline Gilbert Chesnut born on February 27, 1928 in Knox County.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Buddy Chesnut.
Survivors include two children, Marilyn Bedevian of Houston, TX and a son, Birchel Poff and wife, Kathy, of Madisonville, TN; a sister, Doris Wood of Wilmington, NC; two grandchildren, Jacob Poff and wife, Marlena, of Howell, MI and Melissa Voelker and husband, Aaron, of Hartsville, TN; eight great grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Jentry, Jason, Micah, Ashton, Hunter and Karson; a niece and nephew; a foster grandchild, Justin Denman; two foster great granddaughters, Justice and Chloe; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A memorial service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, February 29 at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. James Webb officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Hutchins Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1:00 P.M. until the service time.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
