Mac Mills, age 77 of Pineville, KY departed this life, August 28, 2020 at Pineville Community Healthcare. He was born August 30, 1942 in Flatlick, KY to the late William and Effie Mills. Mac had been a Knox County deputy sheriff and was very active in politics; he enjoyed watching college basketball and loved the Kentucky Wildcats. Mac loved his family and visiting with them and was a caretaker to his wife Alice. Mac also had worked for the state and enjoyed listening to Bingham town Baptist church services.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Challis, Lester, G.T, James Lamon, Henry Lee, Charlie “Tub”, Billy, Matthew, Eugene and Gilbert Ray; sisters Minnie Gambrel, Bulia May, Viola Hughey and Doris Jean.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Alice Mills; children Angie Jones, Tim (Patti) Brock and Dina (Kenneth) Jarvis; grandchildren Jeremiah Brock whom was his pride and joy; Makayla (Jacob) Green and Kendra Jarvis; sister Sue Hostetter; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A very special thanks to the staff of Pineville Community Healthcare Center; Dr. Morgan, Dr. Mohan and Dr. Combs for all the years of such wonderful care.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 2PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Grubbs, music will be provided by Straight Creek Trinity Tabernacle; burial will follow in the Judi Cemetery, Leslie County with family as pallbearers.
