Obituary for Marjorie Sandra Prince (1948-2021)

Mrs. Marjorie Sandra Prince, 73, of Barbourville, passed away Monday morning, March 15, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.  She was the daughter of the late Jess and Eula Mae Bays Click born on February 12, 1948 in Knox County.

Marjorie was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, bird watching, crafting and thrifting.  She especially loved preparing chicken and dumplings, green beans, dressing and cornbread for family dinners and spending time with her grandchildren.

On June 6, 1966, she united in marriage with William Crit Prince and to this union two children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Crit; a sister, Bobbie Jean Jarvis and a brother, J. B. Click.

Survivors include two children, Terry Lee Prince and wife, Rose Rebecca, and Michelle Renee Smith all of Barbourville; a sister, Eunice Pauline Rice of Knoxville, TN; treasured grandchildren, Amanda Marie Prince, Seth Michael Smith, Savannah Mae Smith, Rebecca Teague and husband, Adam, Mary House and husband, Josh, and Connie Owens and fiancé, Josh Bays; a great grandson, Henry James Jones Jr.; nieces and nephews, Kaye, Eddie, Rick, Myra and Grace; among other loved ones and dear friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held in the Barbourville Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
