Mary Magdalen Marlow Smallwood, age 85 of Barbourville was born in NC on May 30, 1939 to the late John Marlow and Sally Marlow and departed this life on May 26, 2025 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, Venders Mall, Flea Markets, and time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, her husband: Adrian Smallwood; a daughter: Katherine Sutton; a granddaughter: Victoria Mae Smallwood; and a sister: Pauline Adkins preceded her in death.
Mary is survived by her loving children: Patricia Bargo, Anderson Smallwood and wife Penny, and Elvis Smallwood all of Flat Lick, and Rosie Broyles and husband Lonnie and Elizabeth Smallwood all of Barbourville; a sister Evelyn Hensley of Barbourville; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Mary Smallwood will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lonnie Broyles officiating. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery with Justin Rice, Dani McGuire, Jacob Davis, Aaron Scott, Danny Branson, Chuck Broyles, Billy Kastler, Austin Thompson and Lonnie Broyles serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Monday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2.
