Obituary for Mr. Crystal “Buster” Eversole (1952-2026)

Mr. Crystal “Buster” Eversole, 73, of Dewitt, the widower of Ethel Smith Eversole, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.  He was born September 11, 1952 at Bimble, the son of Gracie Eversole and the late Clarence Eversole.

Buster was a mechanic and enjoyed race cars.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Edith Eversole Wilson and Martha Hale Eversole and a brother, Arthur Lee Eversole.

Survivors include his loving mother, Gracie Eversole of Bimble; children, Wayne Eversole of Flat Lick and Billy Eversole and wife, Melanie, of Gray; sisters, Loretta Bingham and husband, Mike, of Bimble and Susie Saylor of Gray; brothers, Johnny Eversole and wife, Darlene, of Gray and Larry Eversole and wife, Deloris, of Bimble; grandchildren, Monroe Turner and wife, Tiffany, Nathan Turner, Taylor Eversole  and Emily Johns and husband, Zack; great grandchild, Adelyn Johns; among other loved ones and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

A visitation will be held in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, February 3 between 12 P.M. and 2 P.M.  There will be no other services.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
