Obituary for Naomi Leddington (1924-2026)

Mrs. Naomi Leddington, 101, of Barbourville, the widow of John D. Leddington Sr., passed away Thursday morning, March 5, 2026 at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born March 17, 1924 in McKee, the daughter of the late George E. and Daisy Keith Yeager.

Naomi was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother and a member of the Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.  In earlier years, she enjoyed ceramics, quilting and crocheting.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, John D. Leddington Jr. and Raymond Leddington and several sisters and brothers.

Survivors include her loving children, Denver Leddington and wife, Patricia, of Artemus and Sharon Lounder of Barbourville; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; in addition to numerous beloved family members and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, March 10 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Hunter-Leddington Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Tyler Murphy, Randy Leddington, Doyle Yeager, Steve Partin, Virgil Leddington and Jimmy Burris.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
