Sarah Louise Morgan Goodin, age 80 of Flat Lick was born in Madison County, IN on November 13, 1944 to the late Henry and Garnett Fore Morgan and departed this life on May 26, 2025 in the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was of the Church of God Faith and enjoyed reading, caring for her family, listening to Elvis, and time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, her husband: James Goodin; 4 children: Marqueena Goodin, Comstine-Tina Bargo, Christopher Shane Goodin, and Stephanie Faye Goodin; 3 sisters: Emma Walsack, Ida Fore, and Karrie Mae Wilkerson; 2 brothers: Jacob Morgan and James Morgan; and several brothers and sisters- in-laws preceded her in death.
Sarah is survived by her loving children: Carla Carnes and Rodney Elliott, and James Leadeis Goodin and wife Deborah all of Flat Lick, and Lance Aaron Goodin and wife Stacie of Barbourville; a sister Carolyn Wilkie of TN; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Sarah Goodin will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Nathan Ledington officiating. Burial will follow in the Add Goodin Cemetery with Marcus Couch, Steven Stamper, Ethan Carnes, Matt Porter, Randy Sizemore, and Rodney Elliott serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to the funeral hour at 2.
