Mrs. Susan Gregory, 82, of Crane’s Nest, passed away Friday morning, November 14, 2025 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Anderson and Prudie Mills Smith born September 29, 1943 at Fount.
Susan was a devoted homemaker and a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church. Susan enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and was an avid UK Basketball fan. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.
On August 8, 1960 she united in marriage with Birchel “Pete” Gregory.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, daughter, Sheila Alsip and siblings, Cecil, Leonard and Gilbert Smith, Elsie Smith, Lillie Mae Bright, Elva Smith, Ethel Chadwell, Floretta Smith and Lovella Hampton.
Survivors include her sister, Wilma Smith of Girdler; grandchildren, Greg Alsip and partner, Jennifer, of Barbourville, Michelle Wagner and husband, Ryan, of Somerset and Kyle Yeager of Cannon; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dylan and Maci Alsip and Rosalynn Wagner; brother-in-law, Donnie Hampton; sister-in-law, Linda Smith; among other relatives and dear friends who cherish her memory.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, November 17 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Brian Hacker officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Pete Gregory Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be her family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
