Obituary for Teresa Ann Sizemore (1961-2026)

Teresa Ann Sizemore, age 64, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at CHI Saint Joseph Health–London.

Teresa was born on September 25, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Mary Gibbs Foley and Billy Ray Foley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved oldest son, Nicholas Sizemore, and her husband of 45 years, Roy Sizemore.

Teresa was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse who devoted many years of her life to caring for others. She was known for her strength, having carried many struggles throughout her life while remaining resilient and strong. Teresa enjoyed watching her two grandsons play sports, couponing, and spending time with her beloved cat, Joe.

She is survived by two children, Christopher Sizemore and wife Kendra, and Ashley Smith and husband Derick; and her treasured grandsons, Landon Smith and Brayden Sizemore. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie Patrick and husband Dorman of Williamsburg; brothers Burley Foley of Corbin, Wendell Foley and wife Sandy of Corbin, and Greg Foley and wife Tracy of Corbin; sister-in-law Regina Foley of Corbin; sisters-in-law Shirley Tomaszewski and Opal Savino; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Teresa also leaves behind two dear best friends whom she considered family, Emmie and Carl Brock.

Funeral services will be conducted at Barbourville Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2026. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. A procession will follow to Sizemore Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband and son. Brother Bud Sizemore will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Carl Brock, Derick Smith, Travis Curry, Adam Messer, and George Sizemore. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brayden Sizemore and Landon Smith.

Teresa’s strength, love, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
