Mr. Terry Wayne Gray, 67, of Scalf, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 18, 2025 at Baptist Health Corbin. He was born March 6, 1958 in Harlan, the son of the late Delbert and Geneva Messer Gray.
Terry was known for his strong work ethic and deep connection to nature, he spent much time in the woods he loved, whether working hard in the logging industry or enjoying his favorite pastime – coon hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Ann Grant and a nephew, Brandon Jones.
Survivors include his loving children, Shawn Gray and wife, Heather, and Jeff Gray all of Stinking Creek; sisters, Geraldine Mills of Barbourville, Melinda Patterson and husband, Scott, of Payne’s Creek, Pearl Sue Noe and husband, Terry, and Deloris Jean Jones and husband, Greg, all of Gray; a brother, Jimmy Gray and wife, Debbie, of Barbourville; a brother-in-law, Robert Grant; grandchildren, Terrence Gray and wife, Courtney, Emily Gray and Shane Gray and fiancé, Savannah Brummett; great grandchildren, Aiden, Kyson and Skylie Gray; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, October 24 at 2 P.M. with Dr. Tyler Shields officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Gray Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
