Versia Broughton Hinkle age 94, of Flat Lick, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Middlesboro ARH.
Versia was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on December 8, 1931, to the late Frank and Lula Smith Broughton.
Along with her parents, Versia was also preceded in death by her husband; Everett Hinkle, three children; Danny Hinkle, Terry Hinkle and Robert Hinkle, one great grandchild; Trevor Hinkle, six brothers; Chris Broughton, Johnny Broughton, Pearl Broughton, Tillman Broughton, Oliver Broughton, and Eli Broughton, three sisters; Lucy Broughton, Alice Mills, and Gracie Gray.
She leaves behind two sons; Frank Hinkle (Kimberly) and Daniel Hinkle (Fiancé Makenzie Stewart, six grandchildren; Cindy, Kacie, Melissa, Joe, Lucas, and Jamie, fourteen great grandchildren; Courtney, Caitlyn, Katie, Conner, Harper, Elena, Tanner, Ethan, Evan, McKendalyn, Madison, Caleb, Makenzi, and Zach, one sister; Lelia Ballard along with numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends to miss her and to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Versia Broughton Hinkle will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of The Barbourville Funeral Home. Brother Jerry Smith will be officiating. The interment will follow in the Hinkle Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 7:00 P.M until 9:00 P.m.
Her Grand and Great Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
