William Matthew Collins age 47, of Barbourville Kentucky passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at University of Kentucky in Lexington.
William was born on December 3, 1977, in Barbourville, Kentucky to David Matthew and Carol Sue Smith Collins.
He was of the Baptist faith and attended the Green Road Baptist Church. William enjoyed fishing, hunting for Ginseng and he loved children.
William was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Adalynn Marie Whitaker, a brother-in-law; David Engle, Maternal Grandparents; William and Sudie Smith and Paternal Grandparents; Finley and Marie Collins.
Along with his parent’s survivors include; four children; Kristen Whitaker (Brian), Jacob Collins, Brooklyn Collins, Tamia Thompson (Orlando), one grandson; Braden Whitaker, one sister; Melissa Engle, numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.
Funeral services for William Matthew Collins will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 3:00 P.M at the Green Road Baptist Church with Reverend Mickey Smith and Reverend Dewayne Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Obie Mills Cemetery in Bells fork. Family will receive friends after 7:00 P.M on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Green Road Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
