Mr. William Thomas Garland age 78 of Cannon, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was the widower of Gracie (Jordan) Garland and the son of Gannam and Emma Garland born to them on January 24, 1948.
He is preceded in death by his wife Gracie, his parents, Gannam and Emma Garland, seven siblings, Homer, Paul, Georgia, Ruby, Lucy, Juanita and Sue and one grandson, Steven Paul Ryan Garland.
He is survived by the following children: William David Garland wife Gina of Barbourville, Thomas Lee Garland and wife Joy of Barbourville, Bobby Garland of Cannon, Olivia Grace Burnett & husband Shannon of Gray and Kellie Jones of Harlan.
The grandfather of Shannon William Burnett, Makenzie Burnett, Kaylee Faith Burnett, Khloe Grace Burnett, Chandler Garland, Travis Garland, Elizabeth Garland, Thomas Cox and Athena Cox, the great grandfather of Monica, Peyton, Nathan and Quinton.
Funeral services for Mr. William Thomas Garland will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday – June 28, 2026 at the Greenroad Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Callebs Creek Cemetery at Hinkle, Kentucky. The family of Mr. William Thomas Garland will receive friends on Saturday – June 27, 2026 at the Greenroad Baptist Church after 5:00 P.M. and on Sunday – June 28, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M.
