A Ford Pick-up truck was destroyed after catching fire at the gas pumps on Wednesday evening. Employees of Lee’s Food Mart noticed a fire at pump #1 that had engulfed a pick-up and completely burnt the bed half of the truck. The employees quickly evacuated the store and notified residents in the apartments above the building to leave their residence. By-standers began extinguishing the fire and was assisted by the Barbourville Fire Department and City Police.
There were no injuries reported.
