Around the Area: Elam resigns as Pineville Football Coach, will continue coaching at the collegiate level.

After thirteen seasons, Bart Elam has resigned his position as Head Football Coach at Pineville High School. Coach Elam will be stepping down to pursue other coaching duties at the collegiate level.

Bart Elam is with Tucker Woolum in 2015 where Coach Elam and Woolum received Coach and Player of the Year honors at the district level, respectively.

During his time with the Mountain Lions, Coach Elam amassed a 63-82 record. In 2010, Elam led Pineville to their first winning season since 2000 and the Mountain Lions’ first playoff win since 1989. Over the next six years, Elam would lead the Mountain Lions to four more Playoff wins.
Before starting his tenure at Pineville High School, Elam began his coaching career at North Broward Preparatory Schools, in Coconut Creek, Florida as the Quarterbacks Coach. In 2004, Elam came back to the mountains to become the Passing Game Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Union College in Barbourville, KY.
