Barbourville High School recently invited high school graduates back on campus in an effort to get input on improving current student curriculum. The idea behind “Cupcakes and Conversations” is to discuss with BIS Alulmni the college experience.

“Our goal is to gain from you the positives and negatives of how prepared you were for college, trade school or work. We hope to be able to use your insight to further improve the education of our current students,” said Guidance Counselor Marsha Hubbs.

Questions were posed such as “What were your most challenging college courses and why?” These were meant to solicit answers from current college students who are facing the challenges of college life during their academic career.

University of Kentucky Junior Chandler Smith takes time out of his spring break to attend a meeting with BIS staff to discuss improvement in the school district.
Former BHS students were asked to give input on improvements at “Cupcakes and Conversations” last week.
