Edwards, Marcum Charged with Arson, Theft and Burglary at Glenn Powell resident in September 2018

The Kentucky State Police is reporting that Travis Marcum and Daniel Edwards both of Bimble have been arrested and charged with Arson 2nd degree, Theft by Unlawful Taking (Auto) and Burglary 2nd degree.

Barbourville, Ky. (January 2, 2019) On January 2, 2019 at 1:10 p.m. Detective Jake Wilson with KSP Post 10 Harlan charged two individuals with charges stemming from an investigation that occurred in September of 2018. While Mr. Glenn Powell was charged with Murder and placed into custody, two individuals broke into his residence and stole multiple items from the home including two vehicles from the driveway. The residence was then set on fire and left to burn.

Det. Wilson charged Travis Marcum (32) of Bimble and Daniel Edwards (36) of Bimble with Arson 2nd degree, Theft by Unlawful Taking (Auto) and Burglary 2nd degree.

Both individuals worked together while committing the crimes. One of the stolen vehicles was located at a junk yard but the other vehicle still hasn’t been located. The residence was set on fire while both were inside by the means of a hand held torch.

Mr. Marcum has admitted to the crimes while Mr. Edwards admitted to being in possession of several of the items from the residence and one of the stolen vehicles.

Case is still under investigation by Det. Jake Wilson.
