The Barbourville Women of Vision announce Martin Luther King Day events.

 

This years speaker is Mrs. Sherry Tinsley.

 

Sherry Tinsley is the Director of Advising and an Adjunct Instructor at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College.

 

Sherry Tinsley is the daughter of the late Oneeda Croley, Barbourville, KY. She is married to Rev. Charles Tinsley, pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church, Barbourville, KY. They live in Benham KY, and have been married for 24 years. Sherry is the step mother of three, Nicole, Charles Jr., and Casey. Also, she is the grandmother of six: Zane, Makyra, Clay, Christina, Malachi, and Christian.
Sherry is the Director of Advising and an Adjunct Instructor at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College. She has been employed for seventeen years. Sherry has received her Associate of Science from EKU in 1981, Associate of Arts Southeast Kentucky College 2009, Bachelor in Human Services and Counseling 2010 Lindsey Wilson, and her Master of Education in Human Development and Counseling 2012, Lindsey Wilson. Also, she is a licensed Licensed Practical Counselor Associate in the state of Kentucky. Sherry is an Adjunct Faculty Instructor Lindsey Wilson College School of Professional Counseling. Throughout the year, she spends weekends teaching Counseling classes in Cumberland, Hazard, and Mountain Empire Big Stone Virginia.

Sherry has a strong love and passion for children, youth, and young adults, teaching them on the educational and spiritual realm. Her desire is to make a positive difference in each of their lives, and help them find the full potential within themselves. Importantly, she pushes themto become the best they can become, and teach them to look toward the future and let no one stop them from reaching their life long dreams and goals.
