Mills to Represent BHS at State Governor’s Cup Competition; Future Problem Solvers have strong showing at Region.

Barbourville High School’s Peyton Mills will represent the school at the annual State Governor’s Cup Competion held in Louisville, KY, March 17-19.

The competition pits the top students in several categories against each other in an academic showcase to honor the best in the state.

Peyton Mills, a Sophomore at BHS qualified by finishing third in the written composition category.

The team of Lily-Kate Hubbs, Josie McHargue, Kendal Grubb, Kennedy Hudson, Hunter Jones, and Lydia Smith finished third in the Future Problem Solving category and just missed qualifying for State. The FPS category only advances the top two teams but the group represented BHS with a strong performance at Region.
