Barbourville, Ky. – Barbara Ann Blankenship, age 72, of Buckeye, Kentucky, passed away January 10, 2024. Barbara was the daughter of Albert Hensley and Dora Lowe Hensley born to them on February 14, 1951, in Pineville, Bell County, Kentucky.
Barbara will forever be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a kind and caring woman, who loved her family fiercely. Barbara drew strength from her Christian faith and demonstrated a strong work ethic. In addition to being a homemaker, Barbara worked many years as a seamstress for Warners. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking homemade meals for her family. Though Barbara’s greatest joy was taking care of her cherished family. Barbara will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left behind to mourn Barbara’s passing is her son Mac Arthur Blankenship, Jr., sisters Wanda Senters and Phyllis Mills, brother Don Hensley and grandsons Corey Blankenship and Isaiah Roark. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Dora Hensley, her husband Mac Arthur Blankenship, daughter Teresa Gail Roark, sister Joyce Lawson, and sister-in-law Hazel Hensley.
Barbara will be interned in the Prichard Cemetery on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 3:00 PM.
