Mr. John David Parrott, 64, of Parrott Branch, passed away Friday morning, September 18, 2026 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. He was born May 7, 1962 in Knox County, the son of the late Cornelius and Ester Swafford Parrott.
John was a former custodian with Barbourville High School and attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He enjoyed being out of doors, mowing and bush hogging. John also enjoyed time to himself. He served in the Kentucky Army National Guard attaining the rank of Sergeant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Sue Parrott Head.
Survivors include Cody Swafford and wife, Ashlee, and Carrie Swafford; among other family members and dear friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Parrott Farm Cemetery at Parrott Branch Thursday, September 24 at 1:30 P.M.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home between 12 Noon and 1 P.M. Thursday and then travel in procession to the cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
