Ms. Linda Kay West, 74, of Barbourville, passed away Friday morning, August 28, 2026 at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Conley and Sally Lawson West born February 16, 1952 in Knox County.
Linda was a former waitress and cashier at IGA and attended the Barbourville Church of God. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rondell, Tex and Samuel West and sister, Dorothy Hamilton.
Survivors include her loving daughters, Tammy Gambrel Hudson and husband, Donnie, and Tiffany Gray Golden and husband, Jason, all of Barbourville; sisters, Sandra Hensley of Corbin and Kathy Morris and husband, Donnie, of Heidrick; brothers, Tony West of Turkey Creek and Michael West and wife, Barbara, of London; cherished grandchildren, Kaitlin Collins and husband, Jacob, Kennedy Unthank and husband, Jacob, and Jaythen and Eleanore Golden; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Andi-Kate Collins; special friend, Mary Ann Gallagher; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, August 31 at 7 P.M. with Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating.
Family and friends will meet at the Barbourville Cemetery Chapel Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. for the committal service.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday after 5 P.M. until the funeral hour.
Casket bearers will be Donnie Hudson, Jacob Collins, Jacob Unthank, Jaythen Golden, Jason Golden and Donnie Morris.
