Mr. Roger Phipps, age 73 of Gray, KY passed away Friday April 3, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Corbin KY, September 29, 1952 to the late Chester Boyd Phipps and Doris Jewell Parks Phipps,
Roger was preceded in death by his son Rodney Marshall Phipps, brother, Delmar (Linda) Phipps, sister Felicia Lisa Paul (Michael), brother Chester Elmer Phipps, a niece Melissa Phipps- Rose
Roger is survived by his wife Donna Doolin Phipps, daughters Michelle Smith, Danielle Smith (Calvin), grandchildren; Joshua Smith, Brianna Smith Hensley (Sajun), Trenton Phipps (Joanna), Jordan Smith (Brooklyn), Tylen Smith (Marissa), Braylen Smith, Jadon Smith, Brilee Smith, Javan Smith, great-grandchildren Kaydence Smith, Mahayla Smith, Jace Hensley, Dezaray Smith, Layla Hensley, Kennedy Phipps, Gracelyn Hensley, Kolt Phipps, Amelia Smith, brothers and sister Freddie Phipps(Cherri), Michael Phipps (Linda), Patricia Sears ( Keith), Randy Phipps, Stanley Phipps, and a host of nieces, nephews to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Phipps will be conducted on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the New Vision Pentecostal Church in Gray with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the New Phipps Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Smith, Sajun Hensley, Billy Parks, Jordan Smith, Calvin Smith, Trenton Phipps, Tylen Smith and Jadon Smith. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the church on Monday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
