Wendell Dale Bond, age 66 of Cannon, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2026 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was born on August 31, 1959. He was the son of Clara Bond and the late Novel Bond.
On June 4, 1983, he united in marriage with Dorene Walker and to this union one son was born. Wendell was a retired truck driver and attended Coalport Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Novel Bond, his father-in-law, Ernest Walker, a brother-in-law, Doug Walker and a nephew, Donrick Blevins.
Wendell is survived by his son, Novel J. Bond; his mother, Clara Bond; his sister, Novella Epperson and husband Jerry; mother-in-law, Helen Walker; nieces Jessica Penn and husband Jason and Malloree Turner and husband Austin; great nieces Mollie, Sophia and Amelia Penn; and a great nephew, Bronx Cade Turner. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation for Wendell Dale Bond will be held at the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service at 2:00p.m. Funeral services for Wendell Bond will be conducted on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Sizemore and Rev. Seth Branum officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Blevins Cemetery at Heidrick.
Pallbearers will be Todd Partin, Ricky Crawford, Frank Carnes, Ronnie Hubbard, Robert Mills, Adam Mills, Stanley Lawson, and Corey Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Smith, Les Gambrel, and Mount Brown and Marcus Hobbs. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
