Freddie was a man who worked hard with his hands, providing for his family through years in the coal industry. He showed his deep love not only in what he said, but in how he lived by providing, protecting, and always putting his family first. Even after long days of work, he could be found in the evenings on the floor playing with his children, making sure they knew they were loved. In his retirement, that love only grew stronger. You could often find him surrounded by his grandchildren, caring for them and enjoying every moment. He loved keeping them, laughing with them, and making their favorite meals especially his well-known biscuits and gravy with an egg on top, a simple tradition that meant so much. Freddie loved deeply and protected his family fiercely. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children and grandchildren, leading by example through a life of dedication, sacrifice, and quiet strength. Above all, Freddie loved the Lord. He carried a steady faith and believed his time here was complete. Though his body had grown tired, he was ready to go home and be with the Lord he trusted and loved.
